For over twenty years, low pressure carburizing has been an interesting alternative to conventional gas and atmospheric carburizing processes.
BMI offers the ALLCARB® process as an option for all its high temperature vacuum furnaces. Using ethylene as the carburizing gas, ALLCARB® low-pressure carburizing gives outstanding industrial results: precise, reproducible and homogeneous (significant improvements in homogeneity, penetration and absence of inter-granular oxidation).
Its use is facilitated by a software assistant, which allows the cycle parameters to be calculated in relation to the desired depth and the grade of steel. The user can nevertheless change them to optimise them for a specific application.
ALLCARB® low-pressure carburizing is available on our range of gas quenching furnaces (BMICRO, B8_T, VSE8_T and B5_T) and our oil-quenching furnaces (B6_TH, P16_TH and V6_TH).
