The Birth
Company BAUDASSE Frères was born in 1947 in Villeurbanne (F). Its activity was the construction and repairing of heat treatment furnaces. Then the heat treatment group H.I.T. bought it as well as MARTIN, a competitor furnace manufacturer, acquirred in 1977.
The company moves to the industrial area of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (F) and Fours Industriels B.M.I was officially created.
The development of a Vacuum Specialist
The official decision to stop the production of any kind of conventionnal furnace was taken in 1981. The range of equipment is reoriented on vacuum and plasma heat treatment.

Today
In 1999 the Metall Technologie Holding was founded which includes the companies B.M.I., MAHLER and SCHMETZ. The MTH group (with its sister companies in Lyon (F) , Plochingen and Menden (both D)) is engaged in the development, sale and production of industrial furnaces. Within the scope of a management buyout the management together with financial investors took charge of the partner function. |
