Industrial tempering vacuum furnace
Type: V5_R / VSE5_R
V5_R, vacuum furnace for tempering, annealing and nitriding (option) options
form for inquiry
  • The V5_R vacuum furnace is the vertical version with moving bell of the B5_R horizontal furnace.
  • The V5_R furnace has a fully automated bell handling system which ensures a clear space above the sole, whose fixed base permits the direct and safe mounting of delicate loads.
  • This vacuum furnace is for the main low-temperature vacuum heat treatments: tempering, annealing, ageing, stress relieving, etc.
  • The V5_R is a vacuum furnace which ensures both excellent homogeneity of temperature and short cycle times, while respecting the integrity of the surfaces of the parts to be treated.
  • This BMI furnace has a low dead load and is very well insulated, significantly reducing energy consumption and so treatment costs.
  • This compact furnace is of robust construction, thus reducing maintenance costs.
  • As for the vacuum furnaces of the B5_R family, V5_R furnaces can be equipped as an option with ALLNIT® low-pressure nitriding which can also be complemented by ALLNIT-OX® post-oxidation. These furnaces are called V5_RN.
  • The *COOL PLUS* cryogenic process, developed and patented by our sister company, SCHMETZ, is available as an option on the V5_R. This cold treatment is performed after the quenching cycle and offers several advantages: *COOL PLUS* reduces the residual austenite level while increasing the hardness and dimensional stability of the treated parts. Moreover the parts maintain an exceptional shine because of the total absence of condensation after the change to cold. This "sub-zero" treatment, which is particularly suitable for treating stainless steels, high-speed steels and tooling, is performed between the quenching and tempering cycles.
