GRAPHTIL Man Machine Interface

GRAPHTIL® is proposed as an option for all BMI heat treatment furnaces and is offered as standard on virtually all furnaces dedicated to low pressure carburising, low pressure nitriding and plasma nitriding (thermochemical treatments).

This Man Machine Interface is emerging as an alternative to the basic 10 inches touch screen operator terminal, which is already emerging as a user-friendly and functional solution, but which will be limited by its memory capacity (50 programmes of 20 sequences nonetheless) and especially by the absence of historic data, requiring the use of a recorder for cycle documentation.

Ergonomic, quick and intuitive, the GRAPHTIL interface is based on a PC type solution and enables the control and supervision of the process and installation, along with its peripherals, by simple finger pressure on the screen GRAPHTIL therefore offers:

- A synoptic schematic display of the process.
- A “programming” mode to programme, store and launch cycles (the large capacity memory stores 999 separate programmes containing up to 20 sequences per programme to be stored).
- A “default” mode for reading and identifying alarms.
- A “graphic” mode for visual monitoring of the process in real time.
- A “history” mode for graphic visualisation of programmes produced, with colour printing of cycle reports (graphs and data).
- A “programmed automated system” mode for visualisation of input and output statuses.
- A “maintenance” mode, also associated with the PLC, for equipment maintenance, permitting input/output simulation and default detection.
- And the ability to write cycles and programmes to DVD or USB-2 socket, directly accessible at the front of the cabinet.

It should be noted that these various functions are of course available at any time, even during a cycle.

Finally, we should note that this optional equipment is compatible with the strictest standards and fields of activity such as tooling (NADCA), aircraft (AMS2750-D…) or medical (FDA21CFR…) industries. The zeNon platform, for the last example, is particularly widely recognised for its reliability and flexibility in data management and archiving.

A local network modem, allowing access to the PC as well as the furnace PLC, can be offered as an option, facilitating diagnostic by our technical services or remote control from distant PC by the user. Moreover, many other remote control or data back-up solutions exist through the production site factory network.

Of course, BMI furnaces fitted with earlier or alternative technologies can be renovated with the GRAPHTIL® XP/zeNon technology. To arrange this, please contact Thierry MARION on +33(0)4.74.94.68.94 or by e-mail at tmarion@bmi-fours.com.
