Each system is fully automated, allowing for precise thermal control and reproducibility of results, even on sensitive heat treatment cycles. These vacuum heat treatment furnaces are ideal for applications requiring clean surfaces, minimal distortion, and consistent metallurgical outcomes.
BMI designs and manufactures advanced vacuum hardening systems featuring high-performance gas quenching furnaces, available in both horizontal and vertical configurations to meet diverse industrial needs.
BMI offers two ranges of vacuum gas quenching furnaces:
- B8_T Series: Horizontal-loading vacuum gas quenching furnace, ideal for high-throughput production environments
- VSE8_T Series: Bottom-loading vertical gas quenching furnace, optimized for tall or delicate components
Both furnace types operate at high quenching pressures (5 to 12 bar), ensuring uniform and rapid cooling. This is made possible by BMI’s patented rotating volute system, which guarantees consistent gas flow throughout the load—even for complex geometries or densely packed parts.
These vacuum furnaces are specifically designed for sensitive quenching treatments such as hardening, gas quenching, hyperquenching, bright annealing, ageing, stress relieving, brazing, sintering, special alloys degassing, steel tempering and ALLCARB® low-pressure carburizing.
